We very much enjoyed our travels around Iran. We thought our itinerary was excellent if a little bit ambitious. We would not have changed anything apart from perhaps adding some extra days. An extra day in Tehran would have been useful as would another day in Esfahan. We would have preferred not to have to catch a very early flight to Shiraz and had we taken a later flight then another day in Shiraz would also have been great. So with the same itinerary we think we needed 20 days rather than 17 days. We had five guides altogether and they were all excellent - really very good indeed and extremely professional. We had Fatima in Tehran, then Alireza from Shiraz to Esfahan. Hanieh was our guide in Esfahan and then we had Sajjad until Tabriz. Finally we had Amin Goli in Mashhad. The knowledge and professionalism of these guides was exceptional - thank you. Our main disappointment was the standard of hotels chosen for us. In Kashan we stayed in Manouchehri House. This hotel was exceptional and by far the best we experienced. In Yazd we were in a backpacker’s hotel. Initially I thought it wasn’t appropriate to put us there as we were about 35 years older than anyone else. However we adjusted and it was very good because it was so very central. This is very important to both of us. We were extremely disappointed with the Behbood Hotel in Tabriz and the Tourist Toos Hotel in Mashad. The latter was a long way from the centre and I can only assume you booked this on price. We were told there were 1050 hotels in Mashhad. We would have much preferred to pay more and have a hotel in the centre. This was not an option give to us. Our accomodation in Masouleh and Kandovan was not good but in some ways understandable given the size of these villages. We would definitiely choose to overnight in both villages notwithstanding the poor accomodation. However there is now a new hotel in Kandovan (where we ate dinner) and we should have been given the opportunity to stay there. A double room is €125 per night. We did not really like the Esteghlal Hotel in Tehran although we were not uncomfortable. Why were we not booked into the Ferdosi Hotel as I had requested or the Laleh Hotel close to your office?  The Karim Khan Hotel in Shiraz was fine. We did not like the Jahangardi Hotel in Kerman. As a result of these experiences, I have drafted a little survey on hotels which you might consider sending out to your clients so as to assist you and them to choose the best hotel for their needs and budget.  In conclusion we would certainly recommend Arian Tours to our friends. All of the guides were excellent and very punctual. Also all accomodation had been booked for us, and while we would have preferred a higher level of hotel/room we acknowledge there were no mistakes and everything had been reserved efficiently. However we would strongly recommend that the tourists tell you their needs regarding hotels and that you book accordingly. Thank you for your professionalism and all the best for the future of Arian Tours. with best wishes from both of us, Susan Melton-Hill
