Visting: Tehran – Mount Damavand

Mount Damavand (In Persian: (دماوند) a dormant volcano, located in middle Alborz Range with 5671m elevation is the highest point in Iran (Persia) and is the highest peak in Middle East. The mountain is located in northeast of Tehran and the starting place for climbing is 100 km far from Tehran. The most popular route is the Southern Route which has step stamps and also a camp midway at El=4200 m. It is known by Bargah-e sevom. There is a new shelter like a hotel with restaurant. Also, there is a frozen waterfall (Ābshār-e Yakhī), at El=5000 m in this way.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1 - Climbing to the shelter(4200)

Transfer from airport or your hotel in Tehran to “Base Camp” (2950 M), start hiking till advance camp of "Bargah-e-sevom" shelter (4200m) in about 4-5 hours. Overnight in shelter or Camp

Day 2 - Summit Damavand

Early in the morning start hiking, ascend to the Damavand peak (5671m) in about 7 hours and descend to shelter or camp

Day 3 - Back to Tehran

Descend back to “Base Camp” and drive to the hotel in Tehran or airport
